Mother’s Day Greyhound Walk
Hello Everyone!
The Calgary Greyhound walking club likes to acknowledge special days (and holidays) throughout the year by getting out on parade with our hounds for some exercise as well as celebration!
The Easter weekend group walk was lovely with a fantastic turn out in North Glenmore Park. Lots of new and familiar faces in the crowd.
A warm welcome to the new walkers including a couple who joined us to learn about what it is like to adopt a greyhound and one first timer… a lurcher named Boots. He and his family, are recent immigrants to Calgary from England.
We all had a good walk and the hounds enjoyed their holiday treat bags.
It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 14th. Time to head out again as a group to celebrate! We will walk in Edworthy Park NW at 10 am to try to beat the expected heat on that day.
We are not sure if we have any greyhound brood Mums in our walking club these days but if your greyt girl has been a Mum, let us know on Sunday!
The walk starts in the parking lot near Angel’s Cafe – close to the intersection of Bowness Road and Shaganappi Trail NW. See above for Google & Apple maps inks to the parking area.
