Paul has found a wonderful home in Vancouver and will be arriving soon. Congratulations, Paul!

We’ve been asked by an amazing organization in South Korea if we can take in this sweet old man. His name is Paul and he’s an adorable 10 year old gentleman who is need of a foster or loving family to call his own. He is believed to be about 10 years old, absolutely adores his care takers and is great with dogs his own size or bigger.

Because Paul has spent his whole life outside he’s working on leash manners, potty training and crate training. He’s a smart boy and with help we’re sure he’ll figure it out soon!

Paul was found in poor shape with his friend Nana who sadly passed away. He was used for hunting wild boar and bares some scars from his previous life that have healed with the help of his amazing rescuers.

There aren’t many options for a sweet senior boy like Paul in South Korea so we’re hoping there’s a loving family in the Vancouver area that could take him in. We don’t know if he’s good with cats, small dogs or children so the initial foster/home required will need have to have no young children, small dogs or cats.

SEX/WEIGHT/AGE: Male, 34 kg, approx. 10 years

BREED: Hound mix – Scottish Deerhound is our best guess

VACCINATIONS/SPAY/NEUTER/HEALTH: Fully vaccinated. Neutered. Healthy.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Paul has some scars on his nose bridge, forehead, and the joint area of his front legs.

There are patches of hair loss on his right foreleg and around the shoulder area. (According to the vet’s diagnosis, this is not a skin disease but rather a case of hair loss due to the poor conditions he lived in.)

Food Aggression / Resource Guarding: None detected in the shelter, but feedings are done individually.

Personality: Very friendly. A senior dog, but still active and playful.
