Born on July 21, 2014, Moscato is a friendly, happy boy. He generally crates well and he enjoys rawhide bones. Watch him closely in the house, initially, as he may still have the urge to mark things.
Moscato did well in cat testing but has never lived with a cat. Use caution and closely monitor all new interactions. He interacted well with the other Greyhounds and responded well when meeting Jack Russell Terriers. Caution should always be exercised with smaller animals, especially outdoors.
Moscato had a toe on his left front foot amputated prior to arriving. It appears to have healed well.
Foster update July 18th:
Moscato has settled beautifully into family life and is an uber-shmoozie Greyhound! He loves people and readily goes to both men and women for cuddles and love. For his age (he will be 3 on the 21st) he is exceptionally confident and has mastered stairs and jumping into vehicles. He is allowing his ears and teeth to be cleaned, handling and playing with his paws and he has no food issues. Moscato is really an amazingly good-natured and trusting Greyhound.
He does show interest in anything furry that moves but with tail wags and curiosity rather than prey drive. He corrects easily and happily walks away from both cats and dogs when corrected.
With his amputated toe, he does limp when he gets tired but he has been walking up to 45 minutes in the morning and 25 minutes in the afternoon.
This boy will be a serious keeper and make someone VERY happy! The family say that if they had more room they would keep him as their resident Greyhound, Tillie, loves him!
