The Mazatllán Animal Rescue (#mazatllananimalrescue) reached out to NCGL to see if we can help find a home for one of the shelters sweetest residents.

We think she is a Spanish greyhound with a mix…of something else.

Noche, night in Spanish, is a spayed female. From examining her teeth, the house veterinarian thinks she is about three to four years old. A medium size with a slim build, Noche has some fur shaved on her left side from an injury but is her fur is slowing growing back. She was dropped off in front of the Mazatllán Animal Rescue sanctuary, so they don’t have any history for her.

Health/condition:
She is in good health, spayed and vaccinated, energetic and a great runner! Her coat colour is greyish black with white paws, chest and salty white muzzle as seen on Spanish galgos.

Temperament:
She is very sweet, loves her under ears rubbed and soft voices. She is calm but timid to new things, noises, sharp movements, and new dogs. She is well mannered with no barking. Noche has been left alone in the house with no issue. New people that speak softly to her will be met with wags, warmth, and trust.

This lovely girl would make a great companion to a quiet family with adult kids, or a quiet couple or a single woman. She tends to be a bit more nervous of men. She could also do well in an apartment if her daily exercise needs are met because she loves to lounge. She is great on a leash and loves to walk by your side and go to the beach. She is intelligent and attentive to all communication with her.

Well…that’s Noche! She arrives to Vancouver on March 1st and will head to foster care in Langley, BC to start learning English.
