Introducing Don! This boy loves the simple things in life: sunbathing, ear scratches, being around his people, and of course stinky treats! Don loves human company and following his foster parents from room to room. He’s an excellent nap enthusiast who is perfectly content to spend most of the day lounging. In between naps he enjoys getting lots of love and attention by leaning into you. He’s also a considerate housemate who doesn’t get on the furniture, can stay home alone during a typical workday, and will let you know when it’s time for a bathroom break.

Don is happy to walk beside you on a loose leash without pulling, making him a lovely walking companion. When he encounters other dogs, however, he can feel unsure and express this through vocally. He would do best as the only dog in the home, ideally in a neighbourhood where he won’t encounter dogs around every corner. Don would do well with a person who is patient about his needs. A positive-reinforcement reactivity course would be a great opportunity to bond with his family and gain trust and confidence around other dogs.
