Jasper was born on December 2, 2013 and is beautiful red boy and he is a pretty mellow guy. He enjoys being around people and getting attention. He generally crates well and is used to getting a treat when he goes in.
Jasper shows a lot of interest in cats and should not be trusted with them. If the behaviour is strongly and consistently discouraged, it may improve in time.
Jasper interacted well with the other Greyhounds and responded well when meeting Jack Russell Terriers. Caution should always be exercised with smaller animals, especially outdoors.
Foster Update 2018-09-28
Jasper is a confident quick learner who is gentle, quiet, and calm. He’s completely house trained with absolutely no accidents. He let’s the fosters know when he needs to go out with a gentle but persistent whine (good boy). He has no separation anxiety at all and sometimes greets them at the door and sometimes he’s cozy on his bed like he doesn’t have a care in the world. He doesn’t bark. Perfect leash manners and is excellent with all dogs, kids and has passed his cat test. He’s not a picky eater but doesn’t like peanut butter unless it’s on bread!
He eats well with other dogs near unless it’s a bone or something extra good then he wishes to enjoy that treat alone and may give a small growl to say so. But he’s never snapped.
He likes to be near his people but is also content to be on his bed. He sleeps in the living room on his own bed and sleeps through the night.
