Brandi Williams
Acting President
My name is Brandi Williams and I am the current acting president of NCGL. I have been a volunteer with NCGL since 2006 when I adopted a sweet senior girl named Sophie (Fast Track Train) and fell absolutely head over heels in love with this breed. I adore how beautiful, sensitive, gentle, independent and lazy these pups are, they are all so unique and I can’t imagine life without them. I have worked hard during my time with NCGL to not only help re-home beautiful retired racing dogs but work on helping our local coyote hunting, farm and owner surrenders, despite their hunting backgrounds, they have time and time again proven to be some of the most beautiful and gentle loving companions in their families. Pictured is my heart dog Hannah, an unregistered racer from Kansas who I had the absolute joy of sharing 12 years with – she taught me that while all dogs are not perfect, they are all perfect in their own way, I lost her in 2019 but she is always in my heart.
Dawn Robertson
Acting Treasurer
Hi I’m Dawn Robertson and I am the interim Treasurer. I have been involved with greyhound rehoming, rescuing and fostering for 20 years. I have 4 greyhounds, Zima, Bee, Minnie and Denali and a Russian wolfhound Elsa, who I truly an ice queen that loves winter. I love sighthounds for their quirky personalities and how each one is so fun and loving. They are like Lays chips, you just can’t have one.
Emma Gutsche
Acting Vice President
I’m Emma Gutsche and I am the current acting Vice President at NCGL. I have a Greyhound named Baaj who loves cheese and naps. I also have a beagle named Andy who loves all the food. They look goofy together on walks but they are definitely bonded (Baaj loves to use Andy as his pillow). I love the huge personalities that come with sighthounds. Seeing these adorable goofs in loving homes is such a rewarding feeling for me.
