Flying Ranger (Ranger) was born August 2, 2017 and still has puppyish exuberance and energy. He loves toys and walks well on leash. He is living with another greyhound in his foster home and gets along well with her, although he can be pushy in his eagerness for attention and food. He is very curious and has a tendency to pick up things from the floor or ground so things need to be put out of reach (inside cupboards). Bathing is Ranger’s least favourite things so far – even the kiddie pool is too much for him (although he’s willing to drink out of it). He has been good with the small dogs we’ve encountered on walks but has not been cat tested yet. Ranger hasn’t had an accident in the house – Yeah! He slept through the night from the first night and even lets foster mom have her morning shower before needing to go outside. He hasn’t had to spend much time alone yet (working from home) but his alone time will be extended to check for signs of separation anxiety.
Ranger is a bit anxious and lacking in self-confidence and is unsure of new people (in the house and outside). We are working to improve his confidence. Because of his energy level, we are looking for a home with no young children and preferably a calm resident dog to help him be more confident.
RANGER HAS BEEN ADOPTED!
